Preparation work is key when designing a new course or lesson. Storyboards for design, in particular, are a great communication tool between the designer, SME and all other members of the team. It shows what you are visualizing to open communication on expectations.

As a designer, sometimes you feel like jumping right into the development of a project thinking a storyboard will take too long when you have all the ideas flowing and you are excited to start. As you are in the mist of the project you remember why storyboards for design are so beneficial.
